Words of a Hymn & a beloved prophet

Hymns seem to always bring me such comfort. How true these words are...

Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard?
Tis not so; all is right.
Why should we think to earn a great reward
If we now shun the fight?
Gird up your loins; fresh courage take.
Our God will never us forsake;
And soon we'll have this tale to tell
All is well! All is well!

Also these words from our beloved prophet Gordon B Hinckley really touched me today....
"All of us have problems. We face them every day. How grateful I am that we have difficult things to wrestle with. They keep us alive. They keep us going. They keep us humble. They pull us down to our knees to ask the God of heaven for help in solving them. Be grateful for your problems, and know that somehow there will come a solution."
"Just do the best you can, but be sure that it is the very best. Then leave it in the hands of the Lord"

How gratful i am for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For the knowledge i have of his great eternal plan. That i live at a time when the gospel has been restored to its fullest to help get me through this tuff time.

  1. Hi Jessica, my cousin Genny told me about your blog (she is friends with Kort Chase) anyways, I am a fellow Heart Mom and I just want to know if you have any questions I am there for you. I felt so alone when I went through it (6 years ago now). Braden was DORV, TGA, VSD, ASD and a crappy Mitral Valve. You are so lucky he could have the surgery here, when we were going through it we had to move to California for treatment, crazy. Anyways. Braden is amazing now. We only see the cardiologist once a year. This time will soon be like a dream!

    Also, I saw you have Ethan's link, I grew up with Heidi. Small heart world.

    Our blog is becknewsaz.blogspot.com

  2. Thanks for your thoughts Jess! I don't know what we would do without the Church! I know when Azure passed away it was the one comforting thing to know that one day I would hug my sister again and laugh with her! Hang in there we are all praying for you! Love ya!
